Setting up camp near dam or past dam on reservoir. 8:15 leave to second site near 3rd water crossing. Going to first site off second water crossing near campground.Īugust 6th. Atv, utv ok but if not recommend a broll cart for carrying bucket. Meet at succor creek campground toilet area at 7:30 am. Camp at cafe or in desert near jasper or Snakeskin agate areas. Meet at Rome station cafe at 8 am idaho time either day. Will hit old open pit mine area first day, caldera second day. Meet at Caldera rock shop at 10 am in Mcdermitt Mcdermitt time. Then team leaders will lead the volunteers to the work sites, with the necessary tools, and the fun begins: weeding and repairing the edge rocks along trail, removing Nandina and Ligustrum plants with weed wrenches and shovels, clearing rock and debris from the switchback trail, repairing some of the wood railings, blocking erosive short cut paths, working on the retaining walls that support the wood bridge, graffiti removal and trash pick up. We will be set up for registration, breakfast tacos fortification, and orientation for tasks by our team leaders at 8:45 am, at the trail entry. Our work event is scheduled from 8:45 am to noon, at the Homedale entry to the Greenbelt, which is located behind Barton Hills Elementary School at 2010 Homedale Drive.
